Eastern Bank declares dividend

Eastern Bank PLC has declared a dividend for the financial year ended December 31, 2024. The bank will pay a 35 percent dividend to shareholders for the year. Of this, 17.50 percent is cash dividend. And the remaining 17.50 percent is bonus.

The decision on the dividend was taken after reviewing and approving the audited financial report of the last financial year at the meeting of the bank’s board of directors held on Monday (March 24).

According to the financial report of the bank for the last financial year, the consolidated earnings per share (Consolidated EPS) was 4 taka 86 paisa. The earnings per share (EPS) in the same period of the last financial year was 4 taka 51 paisa (restated).

The consolidated net asset value per share (NAVPS) of the bank as of December 31, 2024 was 31 taka 63 paisa.

The company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 11 am via a digital platform. The record date for this has been set for April 23.
