R.K. Jan Named Treasurer of JCI Manikganj

M. Rezaul Karim, popularly known as R.K. Jan, has been appointed the new Treasurer of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manikganj Chapter. The decision was announced during the Chapter’s Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA), held recently at Club JCI in Gulshan, Dhaka.

The JMI Group reported in a press release on Thursday (3 July).

A seasoned journalist and public relations expert with over a decade of experience, R.K. Jan currently serves as Manager of Public Relations at Window Media Limited, a concern of the JMI Group. Prior to this, he headed the Multimedia Reporting Department at the national daily Bhorer Kagoj and previously held the role of Local Director within the JCI Manikganj Chapter.

The EGA was attended by key JCI leaders including Masrur Mahmud Shuvo, Chairperson of the JCI Bangladesh Development Council (BDC); Sheikh Ashikuzzaman, Mentor and 2025 Regional Vice President; Abu Sufian Nilove, Local President; Musnad E. Ahmad, Executive Vice President; and Arif Hossain, Secretary General.

Welcoming the appointment, Local President Abu Sufian Nilove remarked, “R.K. Jan is a dynamic and talented young leader. His background in journalism and public relations will strengthen our strategic direction and financial planning. I believe our chapter will reach new heights under his capable leadership.”

In his response, R.K. Jan described his appointment as a matter of pride and responsibility. “My foremost commitment will be to ensure financial transparency and build a sustainable structure that supports our initiatives. I’m especially committed to educating young people about the importance of financial planning,” he said.

Other key appointments during the assembly included Sabrina Parvin Khan as Vice President, with Al Istiaque Hasan Deep and Sagor Costa filling vacant Local Director positions. Additionally, Azmain Habib and Mohammad Al Amin Hawlader were appointed as Local Committee Chairs.

JCI Manikganj operates under the umbrella of JCI Bangladesh and focuses on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and community development. The chapter has recently initiated programs supporting women entrepreneurs, healthcare access, and environmental awareness.
